Mapillary Logistics Coordinator (part-time internship)

Job description

Mapillary is on a mission to make the world’s maps better. We help people, organizations, and cars understand the world’s places through street-level images and computer vision. By taking a collaborative and independent approach and making street-level images available for anyone and everyone to use, Mapillary has become the world’s fastest-growing dataset of street-level imagery.

To make the world’s maps better we need lots of street-level images in many different places. We are growing at a fast pace and will soon have 1 billion images on our platform.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for someone with lots of energy, well organized, and detail-oriented to join us on our mission to grow the image database beyond 1 billion. This is a 10-15 hours/week internship and we think that you right now are studying at a university and have done so for 2+ years. The main responsibility will be to make sure we efficiently deliver cameras and other equipment to Mapillary’s global network of contributors.

This is a great opportunity to help us shape our logistics processes while growing and learning in a start-up environment.

Your tasks will include:

  • Responsibility for daily operations including order, returns, payments and logistics
  • Drive improvement, cost reduction, service levels improvement
  • Handle different levels of incident reports and problem management
  • Manage and develop relations with strategic logistics partners
  • Helping out with day-to-day tasks when they arise

We don’t expect you have done these things before - the most important thing is that you love learning and getting things done. You will be based in Malmö at The Ground co-working space (Bredgatan 4). The internship is paid and we think you need to be in the office for about 10-15 hours a week.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

The Mapillary team

Here’s what you need to succeed in the role:

  • Organized, determined, responsible and independent: We will trust you with a lot of responsibility and will always provide support when needed but you also need to be able to work independently
  • Initiative and problem-solving: You research solutions first, before asking your manager and take pride in finding your own solutions to problems
  • Time management: You’ll be working against deadlines, so being able to manage your time is important
  • Good English: We communicate in English only as we are a global team
  • A can-do attitude: We’re a rapidly growing company so you need to be excited to get your hands dirty
