Computer Vision / On-Device Processing Intern

Mapillary is a street-level imagery platform, powered by collaboration and computer vision. We are making images and map data available at scale to develop smart cities, build the maps of the future, and pave the way for autonomous vehicles. 

 

We are looking for an intern to join our computer vision team at Mapillary. You will be working on an R&D project to optimize Mapillary’s state-of-the-art object recognition algorithms for mobile platforms.  You will be working with a team of engineers and researchers with extensive experience in computer vision, deep learning, and mobile app development. Your goal is to advance the state-of-the-art on low-cost and real-time object recognition and to collaborate with our mobile app team to develop a proof-of-concept for an on-device processing application on iOS. The result of the project can additionally lead to a publication in a high-impact computer vision conference.

Requirements

  • PhD student or MSc in computer science, computer vision or related fields, and experience in working on deep learning for object detection or semantic segmentation.

  • Self-motivated and ready to lead project development.

  • Strong in python and C/C++, and experienced in PyTorch.

  • Experience with iOS development is a plus.

  • Previous publications in any of CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML is a plus.
